Chapter 3 - Strategic Initiative


1.     Supply Chain Management (SCM)
*Manage the info about supplier to maximize total supply chain effectiveness and profitability.
 -Lower the Supplier Power
-A firm can deals with many supplier as they like,
 they are not depend on one supplier.

-Decrease Buyer Power
 Choosing the best supplier that give cheapest price so
 the firm can promote the best price for their customer.


2.       Business Process Reengineering(BPR)
 *Analysis ad redesign of workflow.

 Ensure business are the best in class and decrease the
 customer complain.

 Eg.This process are taking the different path, such as an airplane
 Which ignore the road completely.



3       Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
*Increase customer loyalty and profitability by using
  managing all aspects to create customer relationship.

-Company can get customer data to communicate with customer
  when the company are giving promotion or bauncher.

 Eg. Celcom give more credits when their customer top up more
      than  RM30 per month

4.     Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
       *EPR integrates all departments and functions throughout an organization
 into single IT system, so the staff can view the information on business
 easily and fast.

Eg. Using Portal http://www.hasil.gov.my/ the supplier can easily check
      Status of payment and tender easily.
